Senior Procurement Manager in Binghamton

Position Summary:

A market-leading supplier of specialty products supporting a nationwide customer base is seeking a high-impact Senior Procurement Manager to join its leadership team in Binghamton, NY.

• Owns an assigned product segment, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, product expansion, and overall margin performance.
• Manage supplier relationships, drive cost reduction initiatives, negotiate contracts, and rationalize the current supplier base.
• Support quality measurement systems, including feedback mechanisms and continuous improvements within the product base.
• Set quality standards for supplier products and delivery, and direct efforts for alternate sources of supply.
• Manage import compliances.
• Research and analyze data on current and new products.
• Work closely with purchasing, marketing, technical, and distribution departments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and/or category management.
• Experience with domestic and international sourcing.
• Proven ability to negotiate effectively and drive cost savings/margin improvement.
• Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to operate in a hands-on, high-volume, and fast-paced environment.
