Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities include:
- Revenue & Target Achievement:
Ensure Photo sales, including Platinum Studio consistently meet or exceed planned targets for each voyage. - Expense Control:
Effectively manage expenses to stay within margin goals for photo, retail, and video divisions while meeting overall contract goals. - Staff Coaching & Development:
Provide ongoing coaching to staff to achieve image count and sales targets. Develop fair, individualized staff goals and communicate them clearly to ensure consistent performance. - Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Complete accurate end-of-cruise reports with detailed comments on revenue opportunities and issues, and provide constructive feedback. - Onboard Revenue
Collaboration:
Actively participate in Onboard Revenue meetings, working closely with the Business and Brand Director and Associate Hotel General Manager to identify revenue opportunities, risks, and course corrections. - Staff Development & Communication:
Hold regular meetings with Assistant Photo Managers and staff to discuss career advancement, personal development, business issues, and communication strategies. Offer immediate feedback to encourage effective management practices. - Performance Appraisals &
Coaching:
Complete fair and objective performance appraisals on time and provide constructive feedback, including Performance Improvement Plans if necessary. - Operational Excellence:
Ensure all marketing, visual directives, and operations are executed accurately and in accordance with corporate directives. Maintain high standards for photo quality, customer service, and equipment management. - Customer Satisfaction:
Focus staff on delivering exceptional customer service and respond promptly to passenger requests, concerns, and escalations. - Inventory & Loss Prevention:
Ensure compliance with company policies regarding inventory management, pricing, barcoding, and loss-prevention measures. - Collaboration:
Work closely with the Regional Managers, Business and Brand Director and Associate Hotel General Manager to resolve operational issues and implement best practices. - Compliance:
Follow all company policies, procedures, Fleet Regulations, and emergency response protocols to maintain a safe and compliant operation.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of prior experience in the cruise ship industry, specifically in a Photo Manager role or an equivalent capacity.
