What You'll DoPrepare metal parts and assemblies for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and performing surface preparation.
Apply powder coatings and industrial finishes according to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.
Set up, operate, and maintain spray guns, paint booths, and coating equipment.
Monitor coating thickness and quality to ensure consistent results.
Load and unload parts into curing ovens and monitor temperature and airflow throughout the curing process.
Inspect finished products for defects and make adjustments as needed.
Perform basic preventative maintenance on painting, powder coating, and sandblasting equipment.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
Work closely with team members to meet production and quality goals.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
Ability to safely work around industrial equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Experience1+ years of industrial painting or manufacturing experience.
Powder coating experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience using spray guns, paint booths, and finishing equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience measuring coating thickness and identifying finish defects.
Sandblasting experience is a plus.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires working around industrial machinery, powder coating systems, and production equipment. Team members should be comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting materials up to 50 lbs., and working in a fast-paced production setting while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

This is a Permanent position based out of Binghamton, NY.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
