About This Role
The Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) at UHS provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care to adult medical-surgical patients requiring continuous care. This role is ideal for compassionate and skilled nurses who thrive in a collaborative environment.
Highlights- Pay: $40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience
- Location: Binghamton, NY
- Facility: UHS Binghamton General Hospital
- Department/Unit: Memorial 3 Med-Surg Telemetry
- Schedule: Part-time, Rotating
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $25,000 for experienced candidates
- Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care to adult medical-surgical patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
- Document patient care and progress in electronic health records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures for the unit.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Support and mentor new staff and nursing students.
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience:
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting preferred
- Licenses &
Certifications:- Current NYS RN License required
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty preferred
- Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned preferred
