Location: Binghamton, NY
Assignment Length: 26 Weeks
Schedule Options
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- 5x8 Schedule Available
- 2x12 + 2x8 Schedule Available
- 40 Hours Per Week
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurses (RN) to provide high-quality psychiatric nursing care in an inpatient behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will have prior psychiatric nursing experience and be comfortable working in a therapeutic environment while supporting patients with mental health and behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications safely and accurately.
- Manage medication administration for assigned patient populations.
- Complete nursing assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor patient behavior, mental status, and treatment response.
- Respond appropriately to psychiatric emergencies and behavioral health crises.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Participate in treatment planning and patient care conferences.
- Serve as Charge RN when assigned and provide clinical leadership.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and nursing best practices.
- Foster a safe, therapeutic, and supportive patient environment.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Previous Psychiatric or Behavioral Health Nursing Experience required.
- Strong patient assessment and medication administration skills.
- Experience caring for multiple psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Ability to maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.
- Current BLS Certification.
