Position Overview Are you a Medical Surgical RN passionate about caring for diverse patient populations and making a meaningful impact each shift? Our Med/Surg Unit is seeking motivated nurses for night shift to join our team.

Work Locations:
UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NYThere is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Primary
Work Shift:
Night Compensation Range:$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience
You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.
-Sign-On Bonus Up to a $25,000 sign-on bonus for candidates who meet eligibility criteria.
What You’ll DoAssess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patients
Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needs
Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management
Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies
Support effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services
Adhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies
Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiatives
Contribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence‑based practice and nursing research
Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observers
Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training
Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, effective patient care

Education & Experience Minimum
Required:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
Licensure & Certifications Minimum
Required:
Current New York State Registered Nurse License Preferred:
CCRN certification
