Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).
Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, Women's Health, or Pediatrics preferred.
Certifications: Current BLS required; ACLS, PALS, SANE‐A, AFN‐C, LNCC preferred.
Core Competencies: Exceptional communication skills, emotional resilience, strict adherence to patient confidentiality, and the ability to work independently under high‐stress conditions.
NYS Specific Training Requirements
SAFE Certification: Must have successfully completed the NYS Department of Health‐approved 40‐hour SAFE training curriculum (or be willing to complete it within 3 months of hire).
Clinical Preceptorship: Completion of required clinical preceptorship hours and pelvic examination competencies as mandated by NYS DOH for official SAFE designation.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.
Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.
Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
