United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring Staff Registered Nurses for our PACU team at UHS Wilson Medical Center.

PACU is a very fast-paced and collaborative environment working with a wide variety of patients. PACU thrives on the rewarding feeling of working together as a team to manage patients' pain and see them improve rapidly!

Part Time, 24 hour Day and Night Rotation positions

Schedule:

8 hour shifts; weekends and holidays are on call#IND2

Work Locations:

UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NYThere is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Work Shift:

Multiple shifts available

Compensation Range:$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience

You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.

- Essential Functions:

Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, when designated by unit assignment and consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost and impact.

Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources.

Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to UHS Hospitals policy.

Shares in responsibility for productivity and effective resources utilization including staffing, time management, supplies and services.

Complies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies.

Actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practices.

Actively engages in professional development, continuing nursing education, and completing all mandatory education requirements.

Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice.

Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.

Performs duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned.

Education/Experience Minimum

Required:

A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Preferred:

Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification Minimum

Required:

Current New York State Registered Nurse License.

Preferred:

CCRNRelevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
