Join Guthrie’s Family Medicine team at our Robinson Street office in Binghamton, NY, where you will enjoy flexible day-shift scheduling, extensive training, and no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. This is a fully on-site position based within the Robinson Street Family Medicine practice. Although telephone triage and patient and provider messaging make up approximately 90% of the role, the RN works from the clinic as an active member of the care team.

You will assess patient concerns, respond to calls and electronic messages, coordinate appropriate next steps, and collaborate closely with providers and clinical staff throughout the day.

The practice supports Family Medicine and Podiatry and is also home to Guthrie’s Family Medicine Residency Program, providing an opportunity to work with and help support the development of future providers.

This may be a great fit for a newer RN looking to strengthen their assessment, triage, and clinical decision‑making skills in a supported office environment, or an experienced nurse seeking a more predictable alternative to bedside care. New team members receive extensive training with Guthrie Clinical Educators, followed by department‑based training with an experienced preceptor.

• Medical coverage effective the first day of the month following date of hire, with dental and vision options available

This position allows you to use your nursing assessment, communication, and clinical decision‑making skills without the physical demands and unpredictable schedule of traditional bedside care.

The office is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with scheduling flexibility coordinated among the nursing team. All work is performed on‑site at the Robinson Street practice in Binghamton.

We are looking for an RN who is dependable, patient‑centered, and comfortable managing a consistent volume of telephone calls and electronic messages from within a busy Family Medicine office. Strong assessment skills, attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to follow each patient concern through resolution are important in this role.

You will need to be comfortable using established clinical protocols, identifying concerns that require provider involvement, coordinating follow‑up care, and collaborating with the broader office team to support a safe and responsive patient experience.
