Location: City of Binghamton
Role: Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator in the ICU, responsible for overseeing daily unit operations, staffing, patient assignments, and clinical resource support.
- Responsibilities:
Coordinate staffing and schedules, supervise staff and patient assignments based on acuity, act as a clinical consultant, participate in recruitment, mentor staff, ensure policy compliance, and support quality improvement initiatives. - Provide direct patient care as needed, assist with supply management, and assume Nurse Manager duties in their absence.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduation from an accredited nursing program, current NY RN license, 3+ years of clinical experience, and professional certification in relevant specialty (preferred). Leadership experience and a Bachelor’s degree are desirable.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification, familiarity with hospital policies and regulations, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Supervise a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, nursing assistants, and other support staff.
Key Duties: Lead departmental operations, promote a patient-centered environment, support staff development, monitor compliance, participate in performance improvement, and maintain clinical practice when necessary.
