Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, including assessments, planning, and execution of patient care in accordance with established standards and regulations. The RN will be responsible for ensuring optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and collaborative team efforts.
Job Details- Schedule:
12-night shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend - Required Qualifications:
Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross);
Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing (RN) experience;
Experience with intensive cardiac patients (CHF, COPD, end-stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia, stroke patients thrombectomy/TNK, ICU overflow);
Collaboration, communication (verbal & written), judgment/critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning (organizing, time management), problem solving, quality, reliability, safety and risk management skills. - Preferred Qualifications:
Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting; CCRN certification;
Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by the home unit assigned. - Additional Information:
The RN will perform duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned. Responsibilities include managing patient care, educating patients and families, administering medications safely, supporting professional development, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The position begins on 10/12/2026 and ends on 01/09/2027, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours weekly during scheduled night shifts.
