Registered Nurse; RN; Operating Room - Per Diem

Role: The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room, serving as a Nursing Coordinator.

• Lead staff scheduling, patient assignment, and resource allocation for 24-hour coverage.
• Supervise and coordinate nursing, technical, and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to implement policies, monitor quality, and improve nursing services.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, clinical education, and staff development.
• Mentor staff, conduct performance appraisals, and promote professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and standards.
• Act as a clinical consultant for patients, families, and staff, troubleshooting clinical and operational issues.
• Maintain clinical practice by providing direct patient care when needed.
• Oversee supply management and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and assume Nurse Manager responsibilities in their absence.

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, with leadership experience preferred.
• Current New York State RN license, CPR certification, and relevant specialty certification within 3 years.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
