Position Overview
Postdoctoral Associate (SL-1) – Salary $60,000–$64,000. The Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience Research Laboratory under PI Sung‑Joo Lim seeks an independent postdoctoral researcher to investigate multimodal neuroimaging for auditory learning.
Responsibilities- Experimental conception, development, and implementation.
- Data analysis and management.
- Developing, modifying, and executing analytical protocols.
- Preparing and disseminating results through peer‑reviewed journals and presentations at national and international meetings.
- Mentoring graduate and undergraduate student researchers and junior staff.
- Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, speech/hearing sciences, linguistics, computer science, biomedical engineering, or related field by August 31, 2026.
- Experience in advanced neuroimaging (fMRI/MRI/DWI) and/or electrophysiology (EEG/MEG) and computational analyses (machine learning, computational modeling).
- Research experience in human cognition.
- Demonstrated strong quantitative skills and experience with scientific computing, including Python, MATLAB, Linux, and neuroimaging/statistical methods (AFNI, FSL, SPM, Free surfer, R).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in topics related to speech communication, auditory processing, or language‑related research.
- Experience mentoring junior research assistants.
