Position: Security Officer - Residential Front Desk Full-Time

Location: Binghamton, NY

You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a residential location, you will be the first friendly point of contact for residents, guests, and vendors while helping to maintain a secure environment. You will manage access and visitor check-in, monitor cameras and alarm activity, communicate clearly with residents and property staff, and document security-related incidents.

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and security-related protocols.
  • Staff the front desk in a professional manner, greet visitors, verify identification as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other building systems when assigned; report irregular activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, initiating emergency response activities and/or contacting local responders when directed by post orders.
  • Complete shift reports and detailed incident documentation, communicate key information during shift transitions, and support property staff with administrative tasks related to front desk operations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
