Salary Range: $23.27 – $23.27 hourly
As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will conduct foot patrols within government, corporate, retail or fast‑food environments. You will provide superior service to customers, visitors and employees, compose reports, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, control access and egress, deter criminal activity, and perform other duties as needed.

- Engage proactively by scanning for potential threats, seeking rapport, and staying current on local trends and threats.
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
- Sound alarms or notify authorities in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
- Identify and warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking or carrying prohibited items.
- Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
- Prevent theft of company property.
- Investigate and prepare reports on incidents and suspicious activities; maintain logs as required.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and share information with customers when appropriate.
- Guide customers to destinations or points of interest.
- Anticipate and answer customer inquiries; be knowledgeable about your job and local area.
- Facilitate guest services, including transportation and attraction inquiries; troubleshoot customer issues.
- Keep your area clean and professional at all times.
- Assist with basic first aid and make emergency notifications.
- Perform security patrols on foot or vehicle as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass State licensing test if operating company‑owned vehicle.
- Pass and possess State Licensed Unarmed Security Guard Card/License if required.
- Graduation from accredited high school or GED completion.
- 1 year of experience as a security officer strongly preferred.
- Follow orders and exercise good judgment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer systems.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Active listening and situational assessment skills.
- Identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
- Attention to detail.
- At least 18 years old (or state‑minimum).
- U.S. citizen or foreign citizen authorized to work in the U.S.
- Operate radio, telephone, console monitors.
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially with the public.
- Warm, engaging, charismatic, and sincere rapport-building skills.
- Practice good judgment, integrity, and initiative.
- Resourceful and critical thinking in challenging situations.
- Positive attitude and resilience.
- Subject to drug screen as permitted by law.
- Provide DD214 discharge document if previously military.

Indoor and outdoor environments with temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat.
Major activities include walking, standing, speaking, listening, and observing.
Physical efforts required: standing, walking, and sitting with minimal or no stooping or kneeling.
