Location: City of Binghamton
Summary
Supports and administers organizational security plans and operations, executing procedures and processes to provide physical protection for personnel and company property, mitigating threats, conducting loss prevention, and implementing security risk programs in accordance with required codes and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure security policies and procedures comply with Government standards
- Provide security guidance regarding program and operations
- Ensure compliance with applicable government and company regulations
- Develop, obtain approval for, and implement security policies and procedures specific to the program
- Provide solutions to program security challenges and deliver notifications
- Administer security indoctrinations and debriefings
- Conduct security reviews and self‑inspections
- Manage administrative work: personnel processing, visitor control, program‑related investigations, and resolution of other program security issues
- Assist with classification guidance, develop and provide security education and awareness training, and conduct security briefings and program indoctrinations/debriefings; investigate security incidents
- Support other security disciplines, including personnel security, physical security, cybersecurity, communication security (COMSEC), document control, and visitor control
- Respond to after‑hours alarms
- Perform initial access eligibility determinations and generate program action requests (PARs)
- Assist with internal self‑inspections, staff assistance visits, and customer security compliance inspections and assessments
- Maintain classified material accountability records, including inventory lists, receipt and transmittal records, and final disposition documentation
- Maintain knowledge of preparation and maintenance of prime and subcontract DD254s
- Ensure all classified materials are marked and controlled in accordance with contractual requirements
- Review operational requirements and system specification documents to ensure applicable security requirements are addressed and incorporated into security processes
- Respond to walk‑in customers and perform professional security services as required
Ability to participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and support activities; clear communication of program status, issues, risks, opportunities, and plans; constructive feedback; teamwork; active listening; adaptability and continuous improvement of work productivity.
Qualifications and Education Requirements- U.S. citizenship only
- Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with recent investigation (within last 3–5 years) preferred
- DoD Secret clearance eligibility with recent investigation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance and all Special Program accesses
- Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in a related security field (or equivalent education and experience)
- Required:
experience implementing security requirements and administering DoDM
5205.07 V 1‑4 - Desired: experience implementing Intelligence Community Directives for SAP/SCI programs
- Strong organization, teamwork, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work extended hours and in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Willingness to travel on company business (~10%)
- Completion of SAP Orientation and SAP Mid‑level Course (CDSE) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Preferred skills: COMSEC duties, inventory support, knowledge of JSIG, DoDM
5205.07 V 1‑4, ICDs 704‑705, CV2/JADE, DISS, Scattered Castles, LICNET, CORE - Professional certifications: FSO, Industrial Security Professional, SPSC, CDSE, etc.
Must comply with all company security and data protection policies and procedures; personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials; no disclosure of information or access to individuals without need‑to‑know; no disclosure outside the company without management approval; all government and proprietary information shall be accessed and stored electronically on company‑provided resources.
Physical DemandsLifting or carrying up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing or sitting; walking, traversing, moving around the workplace; climbing stairs or ladders; operating machinery or tools; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; physical sensitivity to noise, hearing, and visual inspection requirements.
Salary RangeMinimum $87,000 – Maximum $92,000.
