Description

Kennedy Mechanical is currently looking to hire a Plumber Apprentice. Kennedy Mechanical is a well-established company in Rochester, NY with a large project in Vestal, NY. Interested candidates should have knowledge of basic hand tools; no previous experience is necessary. The plumber apprentice position will include on-the-job training and is an excellent opportunity to begin learning the trade. Work schedule will be Monday-Thursday, day shift.

Basic hand tool knowledge
Self-motivated
Mechanically inclined
Verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving skills
Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

Tasks include lifting, digging, climbing ladders, and entering small or confined spaces
Ability to lift, pull, carry, push up to 50 lbs.
Ability to complete repetitive tasks which may include overhead or awkward positioning

Job type: Full-time

Pay Range: $16-$24/hour

Responsibilities

Assist commercial plumbers with installation of plumbing systems
Work individually and as part of a crew
Utilize hand tools
Assist with installation of components including, but not limited to, fixtures, faucets, water heaters, pump systems and accessories, valves, sanitary, storm, water and gas piping systems
Site clean-up as needed
