The Role:

The Quality Assurance team is a core part of our Software Engineering organization, playing a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of the software that powers pharmacy automation. Our systems directly support pharmacy workflows and patient outcomes, so quality isn’t just a checkpoint—it’s foundational to everything we build.

As a Software Test Engineer, you’ll take a hands-on approach to validating complex, real-world scenarios through thoughtful and thorough manual testing. You’ll partner closely with engineers, product teams, and domain experts to understand how our solutions are used in live pharmacy environments, and translate that into high-impact test coverage. From verifying end-to-end workflows to identifying edge cases that could impact accuracy or efficiency, your work will directly influence the performance and trustworthiness of our products.

In this role, you’ll operate with a high degree of ownership—designing, executing, and continuously improving test approaches for your assigned areas. You’ll also contribute to shaping quality practices by sharing insights, refining processes, and helping elevate how we think about testing across the organization. Your attention to detail and curiosity will help ensure that every release meets the highest standards in an environment where precision truly matters.

What

you'll do:
  • Define comprehensive, reusable test plans for software. Assemble test data and conditions to fully validate test plans.
  • Work with teams to understand product requirements and technical specifications. Use knowledge of common failures and faults to create comprehensive test plans.
  • Execute and document results of test plans and identify deviations from requirements.
  • Execute, maintain and enhance provided Test Automation scripts/processes.
  • Identify and document expected results and behaviors from execution of plans and communicate results with programming and engineering staff.
  • Provide assistance for investigation and resolution of reported application and system issues.
  • Participate in the design phase of software development to gain an understanding of the testing requirements for each release of the system.
  • Identify and execute appropriate regression test cases and ensure new changes haven’t adversely affected the performance of other interrelated components.
  • Update existing test plans to meet new software and hardware features and components.
  • Accurately estimate the time it will take to complete tasks.
  • Travel to customer sites for testing and maintenance for up to two weeks at a time will be required.
  • Occasionally present new features, functionality and defect fixes to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with team to implement better testing practices, continuous improvement of quality processes.
  • Occasionally provide On-Call Support
  • Work directly with the Automation team to prepare regression and release test cases for automation.
Who you are:
  • Ability to travel (50%) including extended overnights, before/after normal work hours, and weekends, as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in software support, software testing, or training; experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with familiarity in pharmacy workflows and terminology, is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft OS and SQL Server; previous work experience in the software industry; testing experience and solid troubleshooting skills
  • Test Automation experience is preferred
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, including being a good listener
  • Experience writing technical documentation
  • Solid time management and prioritization skills
  • Project and goal oriented
  • Approachable, possess a positive attitude and readily accepting of change
  • Strong work habits and work ethic
  • Good presentation skills
