Driver – Binghamton, NY
$80,000 per year

Primarily responsible for supporting the Distribution Center by efficiently delivering hardware-related merchandise to Orgill, Inc. customers. The Delivery Driver also picks up customer returns, backhauls, and empty totes, transporting them back to the DC or designated Orgill locations.
Specific Responsibilities- Operate a tractor-trailer with one or more trailers.
- Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip functions.
- Deliver trailers to designated cities or destinations.
- Pick up backhaul merchandise when required.
- Ensure all Bills of Lading signed by the store's representative for customers, backhaul and common carriage.
- Collect and return checks on C.O.D. orders.
- Deliver any common carrier merchandise.
- Deliver and unload merchandise at customer stores, by hand when necessary.
- Complete all required paperwork (DOT logs, manifests, trip reports, and fuel reports).
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Manage customer merchandise in a timely and safe manner.
- Take direction from the supervisor.
- Maintain excellent attendance and reliability.
- Adhere to DC housekeeping guidelines.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
- High School diploma.
- Current Class A license with Haz Mat endorsement; doubles required.
- Adherence to all DOT requirements and willingness to perform shuttle driver functions.
- Minimum two years tractor driving experience, preferably with double trailers.
- Willingness and ability to work as needed; overnight stays required.
- Excellent driving history.
- Commitment to high safety standards and compliance with all safety policies and practices.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Good comprehension skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all management levels.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and accurate record maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Team player with a can‑do attitude.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to meet physical assessment requirements for the position.
