Serafini's Regional Health Transport is a locally-owned, non-union transportation company serving the Southern Tier of New York. Our services include Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT). We are known for our safety-first approach, reliability and professionalism.

Regional Health Transport is seeking dependable and professional Medical Transport Drivers to provide non-emergency medical transportation throughout Broome County and the surrounding Southern Tier. This is more than a traditional driving position. Our drivers assist passengers with mobility needs and work directly with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, medical offices, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals. Drivers operate company vehicles and receive training in passenger assistance, wheelchair securement, transportation safety, specialized equipment, and our NEMT operating procedures.

Transports clients, ensures adherence to safety rules, and assists passengers in boarding or exiting, as necessary.

• Safely transport passengers to and from medical appointments, healthcare facilities, residences, and other approved destinations
• Professionally assist passengers with mobility limitations
• Operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, securement systems, and other transportation equipment
• Perform specialized transportation after completing required training and qualification
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle
• Follow dispatch instructions and maintain communication throughout the shift
• Accurately complete required trip documentation
• Follow company safety policies, traffic laws, and passenger-assistance procedures
• Provide respectful and professional service to passengers, families, healthcare facilities, and the public

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures with a few months to 1 year of related experience
Credentials: Class A,B or C CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement

• Acceptable driving record and valid DOT Medical Certificate
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background check
• Reliable, safety-minded, and customer-focused
• Familiarity with Southern Tier NY geography and culture
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to safely assist passengers with mobility needs
• Ability to work independently and follow dispatch instructions
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to complete required training, background checks, driving-record review, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Prior NEMT, wheelchair, stretcher, EMS, healthcare, senior transportation, paratransit, CDL, or professional driving experience is strongly valued.

Starting Base Pay: $17.00/hour + $100 Weekly Performance & Safety Bonus Opportunity

At 40 hours per week, the full $100 weekly bonus is equivalent to an additional $2.50/hour in weekly compensation.

Experienced NEMT drivers may qualify for a higher starting rate based on verified experience and qualifications.
