Acorns to Oaks Children's Care & Support is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to lead one of our Ofsted-registered children’s homes. This is a unique opportunity to shape a nurturing, safe, and empowering environment for children and young people, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.
About the RoleAs Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it meets its Statement of Purpose and complies with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. You’ll lead a dedicated team, champion safeguarding, and work collaboratively with professionals to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong, child-centred leadership to a multidisciplinary team
- Ensure full regulatory compliance and readiness for Ofsted inspections
- Oversee safeguarding, child protection, and complaints procedures
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, and professional development
- Monitor and improve service delivery through audits and KPIs
- Foster a homely, inclusive, and safe environment
- Build effective partnerships with families, local authorities, schools, and health professionals
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A confident leader with experience managing children’s residential services
- Passionate about safeguarding and child welfare
- Skilled in HR, compliance, and operational management
- Emotionally intelligent, resilient, and values-driven
- Qualified to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Eligible to register with Ofsted as a Registered Manager
