The Role As a PCV / HGV Mechanic you'll be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, helping to maximise reliability and minimise downtime. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance. Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults. Ensuring all work is completed in line with DVSA and VOSA standards. Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately. Responding to vehicle breakdowns and carrying out effective repairs. Supporting apprentices and junior engineers where required. Working safely while maintaining high engineering standards at all times.

What We're Looking For NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. Previous experience working on PCVs or HGVs within a workshop, fleet or dealership environment. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts and occasional overtime. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable: PCV licence (preferred but not essential).
