Entry-Level Accountant –

Location:

Birmingham, AL (On-site). Salary: $42,000-$48,000. Vaco is working with a growing organization in need of an Entry-Level Accounting Specialist to join their finance team.

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing financial data.
• Support the preparation of tax filings and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [specific software] is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
