Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a short-term contract basis in Irondale, Alabama. This position requires working on-site five days a week and will focus on catching up on financial records and ensuring accurate data entry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Quick Books and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Record accounts payable and payment transactions, including credit card entries, within Quick Books.

- Reconcile financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date bookkeeping records.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.

- Utilize third-party applications linked to Quick Books as needed.

- Ensure compliance with company procedures and accounting standards.

- Assist in cleaning up past financial data and catching up on entry work.

Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping, particularly with Quick Books.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Proficiency in using financial software and third-party integrations.

- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with the team.

- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

- Previous experience working in an office environment preferred.
