Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are looking for a contract to possible permanent Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. In this hybrid role, you will play a key part in supervising a team supporting both internal and external customers, ensuring accurate cash application and collections.

Responsibilities:

- Provide support to both internal stakeholders and external customers to address accounts receivable inquiries and issues.

- Manage and supervise a team of Accounts Receivable Specialist in their day to day.

- Utilize basic Excel and Outlook skills for reporting and communication purposes.

- Perform collections activities and maintain positive customer relationships.

- Collaborate with a large accounting team in a dynamic and detail-oriented setting.

- Monitor and manage billing functions to ensure timely payments.

- Handle cash activities and maintain detailed records for audit purposes.

- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and organizational goals.

Requirements

- Strong customer service skills with a focus on accounts receivable.

- Previous collections experience is required.

- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

- Previous supervisor experience is required.

- Familiarity with working in large organizations or corporate environments.

- Outgoing personality and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
