Accounting Specialist

Description

We are continuously connecting with skilled Accounting Specialists for upcoming opportunities with clients in a range of industries. We're looking for professionals who are organized, analytical, and experienced in supporting core accounting functions while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data, handling transactional accounting tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of an accounting team.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Support daily accounting operations, including transaction processing and record maintenance

+ Prepare and update financial documentation, reports, and spreadsheets

+ Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities

+ Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records

+ Review invoices, expense reports, and payment records for accuracy

+ Help maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly coded

+ Assist with month-end close and reporting activities

+ Track discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve accounting issues

+ Help ensure compliance with internal processes and financial procedures

+ Provide administrative and operational support to the accounting department as needed

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations

+ Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting support

+

Experience with accounting and ERP systems such as Quick Books, Oracle Net Suite, SAP, Microsoft D365, or similar platforms (Source: Q1  Demand for Skilled )

+ Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills

+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills

+ Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
