Salary$55,000 - $65,000
About this positionVaco has been engaged to identify a Bookkeeper for a mid-sized company, headquartered in Birmingham. The Bookkeeper will report to the President and perform general accounting and record keeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly closing and preparing various reports.
Responsibilities- Balance sheet reconciliations and posting to general ledger within Quick Books
- Preparing and entering journal entries
- Generating financial packets and updating budgets
- Communicating with owners and executive management about financial results
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a progressive accounting/bookkeeping role
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online/Desktop
- Extensive Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable knowledge
- Knowledge of financial statement preparation
- Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and the ability to shift gears with ease
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
