Accounting Specialist

This role will have significant responsibility for AP processing while also assisting with Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.

• Process high-volume Accounts Payable transactions, including matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
• Review and process vendor payments accurately and on schedule.
• Assist with sales, use, and rental tax reporting and compliance activities.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and corporate credit card statements.
• Support Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections assistance.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Participate in month-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve processes and maintain financial accuracy.

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Primarily office-based environment.
• Occasional interaction with operational or manufacturing personnel.
• Extended periods of computer-based work.
• On-site position; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
