Ed Voyles CDJR of Birmingham is a fast-paced, customer-focused dealership committed to excellence and accuracy in every transaction. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Title Clerk to join our accounting team and support our growing operations.

Position Summary

The Automotive Title Clerk is responsible for processing vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining deal integrity and supporting dealership cash flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process title work for retail, wholesale, and dealer trade transactions
  • Submit vehicle registrations and title applications to DMV agencies in accordance with state requirements
  • Prepare and review documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Post vehicle deals and track funding status
  • Process lien payoffs and follow up on outstanding titles
  • Reconcile title schedules and maintain organized records
  • Handle out-of-state title processing and requirements
  • Communicate with lenders, customers, tag agencies, and internal departments as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all dealership, lender, and regulatory guidelines
  • Assist with month‑end closing related to title and funding schedules
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of automotive title clerk or dealership accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of DMV processes and title regulations (Alabama and/or multi‑state experience is a plus)
  • Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Dealer track, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.) is preferred
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office software
