Hardy Corporation, a mechanical service contractor for over 75 years, has an opportunity for an Assistant Controller to join our team, reporting to the Controller.

- Ownership of the monthly close and reconciliation process to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reporting package to Controller
- Lead bi-weekly and quarterly accounting team meetings using EOS/L10 structure
- Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve accounting issues
- Maintain accountability for balance sheet integrity and cash accuracy
- Assist with job cost analysis, WIP schedules, and project financial reviews
- Support construction-related accounting processes including retainage and contract billing/collections
- Filing state and federal taxes monthly, quarterly, yearly
- Process yearly W-2 forms, 1099 and 1095’s
- Preparing Year End Financials, working closely with outside CPA
- Assist with Monthly Forecasting and Annual Budget
- Assisting the Controller as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Construction Accounting background preferred
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Experience with Spectrum/Viewpoint or construction ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Willing to adjust for departmental workload changes
- Ability to work efficiently and multitask
- Monthly closes completed accurately and on time
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations consistently maintained
- Financial reports delivered timely to management
- Accounting issues identified and resolved proactively
- Strong communication and accountability within the accounting team
