We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Clerk to support day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records across multiple locations. This position is based out of our TBEI corporate office in Homewood, Alabama, and will assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities, general ledger support, and accounts receivable and payable functions. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in corporate accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

- Prepare and assist in the month end accounting close process for multi-location reporting including journal entries and allocations, basic financial reports, and account reconciliation support.
- Support accounts receivable processes including but not limited to cash applications, customer reference checks, annual credit review, customer set ups, and other supporting duties for defined business unit sites.
- Provide assistance with the accounts payable function including vendor master maintenance for the business unit sites.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field required;
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a heavy focus on Excel.
- File Folder/File Sharing experience required – basic understanding of shared drives and file organization.
- Experience working with larger accounting systems a plus.
- Demonstrated research and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (email, phone, and in‑person).
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
