Bookkeeper Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper for an onsite contract-to-possible permanent opportunity in Birmingham, Alabama. This role is ideal for candidates with prior bookkeeping experience or entry-level accounting professionals with a degree in accounting who are looking to grow their career in a hands-on environment. The bookkeeper will support day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate records, and assist with a variety of accounting functions.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers in a fast-paced office setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records with a high level of accuracy
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting
• Prepare journal entries and support bookkeeping documentation
• Monitor invoices, payments, and expense tracking Help ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
• Communicate with internal staff and vendors regarding accounting-related matters
• Perform data entry and other administrative accounting duties as needed
