Warren Averett is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounts Payable Manager to lead the full AP function for a fast‑growing organization. This role requires a true self‑starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and brings a process‑improvement mindset. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the accounts payable lifecycle while leveraging modern tools — including Ramp — to enhance spend management, strengthen controls, and support scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable lifecycle, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, payment processing, and vendor communication
- Manage and administer Ramp for corporate cards, bill pay, reimbursements, and spend controls
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all invoices and payments
- Identify discrepancies, policy violations, and errors, resolving issues proactively ahead of month‑end close
- Maintain and enhance AP policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Partner with department leaders to promote spend discipline and visibility
- Oversee vendor onboarding, W‑9 collection, and compliance with 1099 reporting requirements
- Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and audit requests
- Monitor AP aging and cash disbursements to support cash‑flow planning
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve efficiency using tools such as Ramp and Slack integrations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all AP‑related inquiries and escalations
- Proven experience managing Accounts Payable in a fast‑paced, growth‑stage environment
- Hands‑on experience with Ramp or similar spend‑management platforms (corporate cards, bill pay, reimbursements, approvals, controls)
- Strong self‑starter mentality with the ability to operate independently and take full ownership
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, even under tight deadlines
- Solid understanding of GAAP and AP best practices
- Experience working with ERPs (Net Suite preferred, but others acceptable)
- Comfort working in environments with evolving processes and priorities
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of progressive AP or accounting experience
- Experience supporting audits and external reporting
