Senior Accounting Analyst

Our client is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join their growing finance organization. Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial analysis for operational expenses across multiple business units.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and support the month-end close process.
• Analyze spending trends and investigate variances to provide meaningful business insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and expense allocation.
• Develop and enhance reporting that provides greater visibility into operational performance and costs.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing account analyses and supporting documentation.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, reporting enhancements, and technology.
• Participate in special projects, financial modeling, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Three or more years of progressive accounting, financial analysis, or cost accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting, operating expenses, and financial reporting.
• Experience analyzing high-volume transactional data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, transportation, logistics, energy, or other operations-driven environments.
• Experience working with ERP systems and business intelligence/reporting tools.
• Exposure to process improvement, automation, or data analytics initiatives.
• Public company and/or SOX compliance experience.
