Cost Accountant

Description

Responsibilities May Include:

+ Analyzing standard costs, actual costs, and manufacturing or operational variances

+ Preparing cost reports and supporting financial analysis for business operations

+ Monitoring inventory accounting and reconciling inventory-related accounts

+ Assisting with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations

+ Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis

+ Reviewing product costing, labor costs, overhead allocation, and profitability trends

+ Identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

+ Supporting audit requests and internal accounting controls

Requirements

+ Experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or general accounting

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Knowledge of general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting

+

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to communicate financial information clearly to cross-functional teams

+ Knowledge of accounting controls and financial procedures (Source: Q1  Demand for Skilled )

+ Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems

+

Experience with Microsoft D365, Oracle Net Suite, PowerBI, SAP, SQL, or similar systems is a plus
