Position: Controller (CPA Required)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Controlle
r to oversee the financial operations of our organization. This role will play a critical part in shaping the accounting function, implementing best practices, and building a high‑performing accounting team. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with leadership skills to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial reporting and operations

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes in coordination with leadership.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial operations.
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision‑making.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
  • Ensure proper compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Active CPA required.
  • Proven years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully building and developing accounting teams
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

  • Strategic Thinking:
    Align financial operations with overall business goals.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and implement efficiencies in systems and workflows.
