Corporate Tax Manager Birmingham (Hybrid)Circa £45,000 - £60,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Excellent Benefits
Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a leading UK accountancy & advisory group who are continuing to expand their Tax function in Birmingham, and are now looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Manager. This firm supports the SME market with a full service offering including Audit, Accounts & Advisory, Tax, Payroll, Corporate Finance and Business Recovery. As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of corporate tax clients, overseeing compliance delivery while also gaining exposure to a varied range of advisory work including tax planning and transactions support.
Role Responsibilities- Reviewing Corporation Tax Returns and computations for a varied client portfolio
- Ensuring corporate tax compliance deadlines are met and returns are submitted on time
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact for ongoing queries
- Handling HMRC correspondence and third‑party liaison as required
- Supporting Partners/Directors with corporate tax planning and advisory delivery
- Involvement in advisory work including succession planning, MBOs, share schemes and R&D tax relief
- Managing WIP and billing on a portfolio, ensuring strong recovery and timely fee raising
- Attending meetings with prospective clients and supporting business development activity
- ACA / CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong corporate tax compliance experience gained in UK Accountancy Practice
- Confident client‑facing communicator with a commercial approach
- Motivated, resilient and keen to take on new technical challenges
- Able to support and develop junior team members
