Sr. Accountant

Location: Birmingham, AL (Onsite)

Our client is hiring a Sr. Accountant to support the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in digital transformation initiatives, including process standardization and automation of reconciliations and reporting.
• Manage month end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and support schedules.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data for management reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience
• Experience in a multi-entity or corporate environment

The compensation for this role depends on a range of factors, including skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and location. The position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and participation in medical, dental, and vision benefits, along with a 401(k) retirement plan.
