Project Accountant

• Opportunity to help transition and build accounting processes within the business unit

• Up to $90,000 annually, DOE

• Review and analyze project financial data, budgets, invoices, payables, and receivables
• Support project managers with accounting inquiries, reporting, and financial issue resolution
• Monitor contract requirements, invoicing, revenue recognition, and project compliance
• Prepare project status reporting, cost controls, projections, and variance analysis
• Maintain contract documentation, budgets, cost estimates, and monthly cost reports
• Partner with project teams to improve financial visibility and decision-making
• Support internal standards, policies, procedures, and special projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Project accounting or cost accounting background
• Construction, utility, or related project-based industry experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, compliance, and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills
• ERP experience; JD Edwards is a plus
