Accounting Manager, Financial Compliance -
Management
The Accounting Operations Manager oversees daily accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing direction, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and respond to inquiries.
- Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses for management.
- Maintain and enforce strong internal control environment to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate across departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with process improvement and workflow optimization.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Additional accounting or finance-related certifications are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Leadership and team management skills, with ability to mentor and develop staff.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process improvements.
- Proficiency with financial systems and ERP platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
