Staff Accountant
Location:
Birmingham, AL (Onsite)
Our client is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day to day accounting functions of the organization and contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting. The staff accountant will assist in month-end close duties, processing payables and receivables for payment accurately and on time. They are looking for an early career accountant who is looking to grow their career.
Key Responsibilities- General Ledger and Month End Close:
Assist with maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts. - Analytical review of financial statements.
- Assist with month-end and year end close activities.
- Assist with customer invoicing and monitor outstanding receivables.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Participate in process improvements an system updates.
- Support preparation of budgeting and forecasting.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Strong communication and ability to interact with customers and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
