Our client is seeking a Controller to direct accounting, reporting, and financial oversight activities for a multi-location manufacturing organization. This full-time, in-office position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial information, supporting operational decision-making, and supervising a team responsible for core accounting functions.
In this role, you will guide financial reporting, manufacturing accounting, compliance initiatives, budgeting activities, cash management, and system administration while providing executive leadership with meaningful financial analysis. The position reports to company leadership and oversees a team of accounting professionals.
What You'll Do:- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities across multiple facilities.
- Oversee closing processes, general ledger activity, fixed assets, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and asset accountability.
- Direct manufacturing accounting processes, including inventory valuation, standard costing, job costing, and variance analysis.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and financial modeling efforts.
- Facilitate external audit and tax support requirements while maintaining adherence to GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Strengthen internal controls, documentation practices, and risk management procedures.
- Support ERP optimization, reporting enhancements, data integrity initiatives, and cybersecurity controls.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting personnel while partnering with operations, supply chain, sales, and human resources teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
- Several years of progressive accounting leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Background in senior accounting, accounting management, assistant controller, or comparable financial leadership positions.
- Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and multi-site financial operations.
- Advanced Excel capabilities and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, operational personnel, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Access and database connectivity tools is preferred.
