Senior Controller - Fund Administrator

Accountants One has been engaged by a highly successful real estate private equity investment firm to identify a Senior Controller - Fund Administrator to join their growing team. Headquartered in Birmingham, the company has been in operation for 16 years and focuses primarily on self-storage investments, backed by prominent institutional investors. This hybrid position has become available due to continued organizational expansion.

This is a hybrid role and can be based in Birmingham, Atlanta, or Charlotte.

The ideal candidate will possess a CPA or CFA, strong management experience, a solid accounting background within the real estate industry, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This company offers a great base salary plus a huge bonus potential.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A CPA or CFA
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in real estate fund accounting or financial management, preferably within a real estate private equity firm
• Strong technical knowledge of real estate fund accounting principles, practices, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, including the ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings to senior management and investors.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and
• developing teams.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including GAAP and SEC guidelines.
