Senior Accounting Specialist - Onsite

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist for one of clients. This position will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, managing reconciliations, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working independently while partnering with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.

• Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and accounting records
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity for accuracy
• Research and resolve discrepancies and unusual transactions
• Prepare financial reports and accounting schedules as needed
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions and reconciliations
• Monitor accounting processes and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with audits and provide documentation and information as requested
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
• Provide support to the Accounting Manager/Controller and other team members as needed

• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheet analysis
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems
