Position Summary
The Data Specialist ensures accurate entry, maintenance, and integrity of data across Lifeline’s systems, supporting the organization’s mission through careful stewardship of financial data, donor records, and reporting. This role serves as a primary resource for internal staff and state offices on database use and data accuracy.
Primary Duties- To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers,client sand ministry partners
- Activelyparticipateson the team in a manner aligned with scripture including, but not limited to, praying for and with other team members, sharing scripture in daily activities and leadership, modeling the character of Jesus Christ in interactions with team and any external clients, partners, vendors, etc.
- Disciplesministry partners and clients.
- Aligns team dynamics, internal & external processes, and final product of team’s work with Biblical principles and with Lifeline’s Core Values.
- Monitor and upload donation data from checks, ACH/EFT, GoEmerchant, , Bill Go, and third-party platforms.
- Ensure accurate receipting, tagging, and compliance; review and correct duplicate or inaccurate CRM entries daily.
- Troubleshoot recurring donation issues; enter employee match, DAF gifts (Benevity, NPO/Your Cause, United Way, Fidelity), and stock gifts.
- Enter/reconcile silent auction donations; split gifts when partially tax-deductible; maintain tagging for special initiatives.
- Assist state directors and administrators with Virtuous data questions.
- Communicate with internal teams on data corrections and timelines.
- Partner across departments to ensure data alignment.
- Maintain and update starter kits, data fields, templates, and workflows for international & domestic programs.
- Set up profiles for Care Together; ensure SOP compliance for family/program data.
- Serve as first point of contact for family services database needs and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with IT/Database Manager to coordinate with third-party database development team.
- Assisting in agency-related events, including the annual staff retreat, the annual dinner, anniversary celebrations, across all Lifeline programs
- Maintains good relationships with co-workers, including solving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion
- Represents the agency in a professional manner in and away from theoffice.
- Encourages and supports church engagement efforts, including live presence opportunities, adoption information meetings, and biblical teaching on caring for vulnerable children.
- If qualified by the state, conduct home studies, post placement/adoptionreportsor other related adoption services for families in your geographical area when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or member of the Executive team
- Experience in data entry, database management, or financial record processing (strongly preferred)
- Central Office Location/Professional office environment

While primary responsibilities are outlined, employees may be asked to support additional programs, service areas, or initiatives based on organizational needs, workload/caseload demands, and supervisor direction. Any additional duties will be consistent with the employee’s training, licensure, role classification, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status and will not fundamentally change the nature of the position.
