Seasonal Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - BHM Airport

Overview

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as a Seasonal Automotive Detailer. This position pays $16 / hour and is located at the Birmingham Airport: 5900 Messer Airport HWY, Birmingham, Alabama 35212. The role is seasonal and will not exceed 150 days, beginning July 13 and ending November 30.

• Saturday – Wednesday 5:00am – 1:00pm
• Sunday – Thursday 1:00pm – 8:00pm

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks.
• Check fuel level and warning lights, inspect windshield for damage, reset/restore vehicle settings, check for customer items and place them in Lost & Found, verify registration.
• Check fluid levels, tire condition, pressure and tread depth; inspect the vehicle exterior for damage.
• Fuel and stage the vehicle.
• Inspect for safety concerns, report warning lights and/or damage; pull vehicle out of the prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed and may transport customers to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, cleaning interior and exterior of branch locations including desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and miscellaneous tasks.

• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting.
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
• No driver’s record with more than 1 excessive speeding violation (26+ mph over the posted speed limit) within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than 30 minutes from this location.
• Must have at least six consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience.
• Available for seasonal work lasting a maximum of 150 days and understand ineligibility for any positions at Enterprise for 3 months following the end of seasonal employment.
