Overview
Troon is seeking a Corporate Food & Beverage Operations & Task Force Manager to join our corporate team in Birmingham, AL. The role provides strategic, operational, and hands-on leadership to achieve corporate and property-level Food & Beverage objectives across owned, managed, and contracted facilities. The position supports execution through on-site task force deployment, remote advisory, and delivery of defined operational and financial outcomes that drive consistency, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Build strong partnerships with property and corporate stakeholders to align on F&B strategy, priorities, and measurable results.
- Evaluate and optimize culinary, service, staffing, and financial performance across locations.
- Analyze operational and financial data; guide leadership in budgeting, forecasting, payroll, cost controls, and performance improvement.
- Support menu development, pricing, procurement, and concept innovation to ensure quality, consistency, and profitability.
- Lead task force deployments and provide hands-on operational support to address staffing, execution, and performance challenges.
- Supervise and mentor front- and back-of-house leadership and teams; support recruitment, training, development, and retention.
- Ensure adherence to standardized recipes, sanitation, safety, inventory, and quality control practices.
- Oversee daily production, service execution, equipment readiness, and facility standards.
- Lead pre-shift meetings, operational planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Monitor guest experience, resolve issues, and reinforce service excellence.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked restaurant and kitchen environments.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards, health regulations, and procurement initiatives in collaboration with Troon leadership.
- Support corporate initiatives, project deliverables, and strategic property alignment.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance; travel frequently as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, culinary, business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership in multi-unit, hotel, club, or restaurant environments.
- Demonstrated strength in culinary operations, service management, financial controls, and team leadership.
- Extensive regional and remote travel, often with limited notice; multi-day trips expected.
- Food safety and sanitation certification preferred.
- Knowledge of health codes, operational controls, and training best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, financial acumen, and problem-solving abilities.
- Frequent standing, walking, tasting, hearing, and manual tasks.
- Occasional climbing, stooping, crouching, and lifting (25–50 lbs; up to 100 lbs infrequently).
- Fast-paced hospitality settings with exposure to kitchen equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, and moderate noise.
