General Information
- Job Title. Transformation PMO Support, EO
- Contract Type. Detached Duty / Loan – 24 months
- Salary Range (according to location). £29,303 – £31,061 (National), £33,551 – £35,564 (London)
- Location. National (any LAA office)
- Working Pattern. Full Time, Part Time, Job Share, Flexible Working (minimum 30 hours for part‑time)
- Closing Date. 17‑Jul‑2026
- Reserve List. 12 months
The PMO support role assists the PMO manager in operating project management processes and coordinating business management activities to help achieve the portfolio’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and scheduling – help establish and maintain systems for effective planning and scheduling.
- Monitoring and reporting – assist in maintaining portfolio controls and producing portfolio reports.
- Admin – manage portfolio files, organise key portfolio meetings and provide secretarial support.
- Resources – manage staff as needed, including their development.
- Stakeholder – maintain the log for internal and external stakeholders and serve as the contact point for portfolio responses to external information requests.
- Financial control – monitor project spending, contribute to budget preparation and maintain an accurate asset register for the portfolio.
- Risks and issues – assist in maintaining risk and issue logs and escalating issues as necessary.
- Digital and data – collect and share data in line with data standards, use data analytics and digital tools to compile and present portfolio information.
- Organise teams, establish processes and work to deadlines.
- Use Microsoft Office tools.
- Established time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and focus on delivery.
- Established interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with LAA, MoJ or wider government planning and governance standards.
- Experience supporting PMO or transformation‑led delivery portfolios.
- Experience in report writing and minute taking.
- Enjoys working autonomously and proactively to ensure own, team and organisation goals are met on time and to the required standard.
- Enjoys working with varied data to make accurate and informed decisions.
- Enjoys working independently and as part of a team located across multiple sites.
