Our client, a leading national insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Client Executive, Employee Benefits to join its growing team. This is a high-impact, client-facing role for a seasoned benefits professional who thrives on building trusted relationships, developing innovative healthcare strategies, and helping organizations optimize their employee benefits programs.
As a Client Executive, you'll serve as a strategic advisor to employers of all sizes, partnering with clients to navigate the evolving benefits landscape, control healthcare costs, enhance employee experiences, and manage risk. You'll collaborate with internal teams, carrier partners, and client stakeholders to deliver exceptional service while identifying opportunities to strengthen and expand client relationships.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly collaborative team, influence complex benefits strategies, and make a meaningful impact on clients' business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and support strategic employee benefits solutions, including:
- Health and welfare benefits
- Compliance guidance
- HR policies and best practices
- Employee communication and engagement initiatives
- Benefits administration and payroll integration
- Serve as a trusted advisor and relationship manager for a portfolio of employee benefits clients.
- Partner with clients to understand business objectives and align benefits strategies with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless and exceptional client experience.
- Resolve day-to-day client and vendor service issues with urgency and professionalism.
- Assist with marketing and placement strategies for new and existing business opportunities.
- Analyze carrier proposals and renewal options, providing recommendations and insights to support client decision-making.
- Coordinate renewals, plan changes, and carrier negotiations.
- Review policies and benefit programs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging healthcare solutions.
- Deep knowledge of employee benefits and healthcare financing strategies, including:
- Self-funded and level-funded health plans
- Stop-loss programs and marketing strategies
- Pharmacy benefit management solutions
- Rx carve-out programs
- Reference-based pricing models
- Direct provider contracting arrangements
- Alternative funding approaches
- Strong consultative and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized with strong project management and prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of employee benefits brokerage, consulting, or carrier experience.
- Experience with EPIC or similar agency management systems.
