Responsibilities- Construction Oversight and Owner Representation
- Oversee the day-to-day progress of assigned restaurant construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, brand standards, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction quality, progress, and compliance with approved plans and schedules.
- Collaborate with design, real estate, operations, and procurement teams to ensure seamless project execution from pre-construction through closeout.
- Review and approve construction documents, bids, and change orders in coordination with leadership.
- Track and report project budgets, schedules, and milestones, identifying potential risks or delays and recommending solutions.
- Ensure all contractors and vendors meet company performance standards and maintain positive working relationships.
- Support the permitting and inspection process, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with all local regulations.
- Maintain detailed project records including site reports, photos, and documentation for each project.
- Assist with warranty management, punch lists, and post-construction evaluations to ensure long-term performance and brand consistency.
- Assist in expediting permits to ensure new stores open in a timely manner.
- Facilities Oversight
- Monitor and manage day-to-day facility maintenance across assigned restaurant locations.
- Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and vendor services to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Oversee work order management systems, ensuring timely response and resolution of service requests.
- Conduct routine site visits to assess facility conditions, identify maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with brand and safety standards.
- Partner with Operations, Construction, and Procurement teams to plan and execute facility upgrades and minor remodels.
- Track budgets, invoices, and vendor performance; ensure all work is completed on time and within budget.
- Support the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with warranty claims, asset management, and equipment lifecycle tracking.
- Maintain accurate facility documentation, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, health, and safety regulations across all locations.
- Franchise Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the brand and assigned general contractors throughout all project phases.
- Review project plans, scopes, and schedules to confirm understanding and alignment with brand standards.
- Monitor daily and weekly progress reports from contractors; identify and resolve issues that could affect timelines or budgets.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate construction quality, adherence to specifications, and overall progress.
- Coordinate with design, facilities, and operations teams to ensure readiness for turnover and store opening.
- Track project performance, budgets, and milestones through the company’s project management systems.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, and vendors to promote accountability and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
